>_ POLYGLOT — PRIVACY POLICY

Effective: August 29, 2026 · App: POLYGLOT: Code in the Terminal · Publisher: Forge Development Studio

THE SHORT VERSION

All of your data stays on your device. POLYGLOT has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking of any kind. We do not collect, transmit, store, sell, or share any personal information — because the app is built so that we never receive any.

WHAT IS STORED, AND WHERE

Your learning progress (XP, completed lessons, streaks, exam scores, settings) is saved in local storage on your own device only. It never leaves your phone unless you export it with the in-app backup command — which produces plain text that you keep wherever you choose.

NETWORK ACCESS

The app works fully offline. Two optional features use the internet, both user-initiated:

1. The Python Playground downloads the open-source Python engine (Pyodide) from a public CDN the first time you open it. No personal data is sent — it is a one-time file download, cached afterward.

2. The optional AI tutor is off by default and only works if you supply your own Anthropic API key. If you enable it, your questions are sent directly from your device to Anthropic (see Anthropic's privacy policy). We never see, store, or proxy that traffic, and your key is stored only on your device.

CHILDREN

POLYGLOT collects no data from anyone, including children. The app contains no ads, no purchases within educational content, no social features, and no external links beyond this policy.

DATA DELETION

Uninstalling the app, or running the in-app reset confirm command, permanently deletes all locally stored data. There is nothing to delete on any server, because nothing is ever sent to one.

CHANGES

If this policy ever changes (for example, if optional cloud sync is added), the updated version will be posted at this address before any change takes effect.
